NOTES:

Sisley Maybray: Her death date is not known, but must have been between 1880 and Dec 1882.



Fanny Giles: Her full name was Frances Fannie Giles.  Her birth date is probably not as early as listed.  She appears on three census records with her birth year listed as 1817 on two of them and 1812 on another.  She married Edward Bearden on 2 Jan 1834 in Fayette Co., GA.  She remarried after a long widowhood to Samuel P. Parsons on 12 Jun 1879 in Douglas Co., GA.  No death date or grave has been located for her.



John Henry Giles: His birth date is also in question.  He appears on five census records with his birth year listed as 1816 once, 1817 once and 1818 three times.  He married Sarah Sallie Sanders on 27 Sept 1837 in Campbell Co., GA.



Hinchey Allen Giles: His birth date is correct.  It appears on his Death and Internment Record from Point Lookout POW Camp, Point Lookout MD.  He died there on 29 May 1865.  He married Nancy McCormick on 17 Aug 1845 in Campbell Co., GA and moved with the McCormick clan to Randolph Co., AL in 1846/1847.



Eccleseastes Giles: His birth date appears to be correct, matching the 1850 census record for him.  He is listed on the 1850 census as an idiot.  He is missing on the 1860 census and presumed dead.



Marshel Jefferson Berdn: This is Marshall Jefferson Bearden, the son of Edward Bearden b. Bef 1790 d. 1847 and Frances Fannie Giles. His birth date is correct and he died on 27 Nov 1909.  He married Sisley Ann Collier on 13 Dec 1855 in Fayette Co., GA.



Mablis or Mabbs born Oct 31, 1872: This person is unknown to me.



J. G. Giles was born Oct 22, 1872: This person is unknown to me.



L. E. Giles was born June 15, 1873: This is Lula Elizabeth Giles who died before 24 Sept 1957, the unmarried daughter of John Thomas and Nancy Johnston Giles.



S. L. or T. Giles born May 2, 1876: This is most likely Sarah Idella Giles b. 2 May 1875 d. 1909.  She was the sister of Lula Elizabeth and the wife of John Alexander Hamilton Silvey.



L. C. or E. or G. Giles: This is Lucinda C. Falk, the widow of John A. Wilson. John Henry Giles married Mrs. Lucinda Wilson on 8 Jul 1900 in Douglas Co., GA  



Paul Smith born May 6, 1872:  Paul is unknown to me.



This November, Henry Pete Brown was born January 6, 1890: Henry Pete Brown was actually born on 7 Jan 1880.



Maude Giles was XXXMrs. May 9 ?:  This is Maude Florence Giles b. 9 May 1885.  She was the daughter of Joseph Sanders and Rebecca Allen Giles.  She is the owner of the bible.  She married Henry Pete Brown on 17 Jan 1904 in Douglas Co., GA.



Dave Terry Johnson was born July 9, 1866:  This person is unknown to me.



Alice Clyde Kendall was born Febuary 4, 1875: This person is unknown to me.

James M. Giles died October 9, 1861: James M. Giles is the son of John Henry and Sarah Sanders Giles.  He was born in 1842 and died in the hospital in Richmond VA of  measles.  He was a private in Co. E, 35th GA Infantry.



H. S. Johnson died November 27, 1877:  This person is unknown to me.



Jesse T or L Vaughn died September 18, 1890:  This person is unknown to me.



Sallie Giles died July 4, 1899(wife of J. H. Giles, buried Dog River):  Sarah Sallie Sanders was the daughter of John and Arrena Sanders.  Dog River refers to the Giles Cemetery located on the WSA property in the lower part of Douglas Co.



John H. Giles died May (eraser marks have rubbed all out but a possible 9(1904):  His death date is accepted as May 1904.  There is no real documentation for this date.  He is presumed buried in the Giles Family Cemetery.  There is no inscribed stone for him there.
