Clapp Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia, deserves to be protected, cleaned up and preserved. The cemetery was for the people who worked at the Clapp Factory, most of whom lived in the Clapp Village. The Clapp Factory was replaced by a dam and Clapp Village was replaced by a bridge between Georgia and Alabama. The cemetery which remains borders The Riverwalk. Buried at Clapp Cemetery are Confederate soldiers, slaves,American Indians and the poor. They are all a part of the heritage of Columbus, GA.

Located in Columbus, Georgia, this city cemetery, begun in 1828, desperately needed friends. The Foundation was formed to restore and preserve the markers and monuments, along with brick walls and iron fencing.
