Death records are available from 1919 to the present. Georgia Department of Human Resources may require you know a great deal about the death to fill in their forms to provide you with a copy.

Identification is required. Athens-Clarke County Health Department 345 North Harris Street Athens, GA 30601 Georgia's Secretary of State has posted images of their death certificates from 1919 to 1927. An index to African American deaths for those years in Clarke County is also available.
