OSCAR EPPS SR.

Funeral services for Oscar E. Epps Sr., 76 of Rt. 2, Athens, who died Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in a local hospital will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Princeton Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Carpenter and Rev.  William A. Maxey officiating. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetry. 

Mr. Epps was a native of Clarke County and had lived in Jackson County 17 years. he was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Death came after a brief illiness.

Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Lottie Wallace Epps; four daughters, Mrs. W. H. Dottery, Watkinsville, Mrs. E. R. Shelton, Mrs. J. W. Norman, Sr., Mrs. E. R. Bradberry, all of Athens; four sons, William E. Epps, T. J. Epps, and E. E. Epps all of Athens; Oscar E. Epps, Jefferson; two sisters, Mrs. H. D. Couch, Watkinsville, Mrs. Will Evans, Loganville; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
