Mrs. Freeman
Walterboro, S.C. - Mrs. Jessie Pledger Freeman, 71, of Walterboro died here Monday after being in failing health for several months. A native of Athens, she had moved here several years ago.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Princeton Cemetery. The Rev. Clark Ellison will officiate.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Wayne Britton of Naples, Italy, Mrs. Helen Ott of North Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Charles Kuehnle of Chamblee and Mrs. George Horton of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, John Freeman on North Charleston, S.C., and Melvin L. Freeman Jr. of Charleston, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Aughtmon and Mrs. Thelma Taylor of North Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Mamie Attaway of Walterboro, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
