I have been searching for my 4th great grandfather, Davis Pruett and his family in the 1850 US census. I think I found him in Elbert in 1820, Fayette in 1830, Cobb in 1840 and Blount (AL) in 1860. He has a large family and the 1850 census would provide key information to verify the children. I went through the 1850 federal census indexes for GA and all states using and I also went through the original US 1850 census pages for the following counties:Elbert (GA), Olgethorpe (GA), Fayette(GA), Cobb(GA), Dekalb (GA), Cherokee (GA) Campbell, Paulding(GA), Coweta (GA), Dekalb (AL), Cherokee (AL), Benton (AL), St. Clair (AL), Blount (AL)

Do you have any ideas that might help?

Mike Pruett
