Funeral rites for Mrs. Amanda Bailey, aged 82 years who died at her home near Ambrose Wednesday were held at DeBerry Chapel Thursday morning, conducted by Rev. B. E. Donehoo of the First Baptist church of Douglas. Interment followed at the Chapel cemetery. Her last illness lasted for only three weeks.
The deceased is survived by three children, Sallie Graves, Douglas, Cassie Smith, Ambrose, and Leonard Bailey, Brunswick, and by 25 grandchildren. The Douglas Undertaking Company was in charge.
