Mrs. Lorene Pridgen Brigmond, age 80 of Broxton, passed away Monday evening July 07, 2003 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Brigmond, a native of Broxton and Coffee County, was the daughter of the late John Pridgen and the late Bessie Kight Pridgen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elisha Johnny "E.J." Brigmond. Mrs. Brigmond was a member of the Pridgen Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter, Barbara Newell of Broxton, Ga.; 1 son, David Brigmond of Jacksonville, Fla.; 1 brother, J.M. Pridgen of Broxton, Ga.; 4 sisters, Jaunell P. McCallum, Mrs. Louise P. McKinnon and Mrs. Martha Jean P. Meeks all of Douglas, Ga., and Mildred P. Grantham of Broxton, Ga.; 1 granddaughter, Samantha Bates of Broxton, Ga.; 2 great-grandchildren, Zachary Bates and Jacob Bates both of Broxton, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 09, 2003 at 11 a.m., at the Pridgen Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Hollis and Rev. Wayne Hayes officiating. A special music ______. The interment followed in the Pridgen Cemetery. Active pallbearers were John Harry Dockery, Marshall Pridgen, P.L. Dockery, Tom Meeks and Jeffery Pridgen. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
