Walter C. "Walt" Bryan

Last rites were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the First Methodist Church for Walter C. Bryan, known locally as "Walt" to his host of friends, following his death Sunday morning at the Ware County Hospital.
A native Coffee Countain, he was a member of the First Methodist church, and operated an automobile repair shop for several years. He had suffered a heart attack two weeks prior to his death and had been transferred to the Ware County Hospital in Waycross.
Survivors include his wife the former Adel Deen Bryan, two sons, W. C. Bryan Jr., and T. E. Bryan, Waycross; Two sisters, Mrs. George Sanders, Douglas, and Mrs. Maude Duddley, New York, and one grandchild.
The Rev. Frank L. Robertson was the officiating minister and special music was furnished by a quartette composed of Kenyon Cowart, Ross Moorman, George Stovall and Gordon Davis, accompanied by Newton Tyson.
Pallbearers were Hamp Gillis, Guy Moorman, Orville Poston, Joel Minix, Roy Powell, Warren McClelland.
Interment was in the City Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
