Millard A. Buchanan

Last Rites were held Sunday afternoon at St. Andrews Episcopal church in Douglas for Millard A. Buchanan of North Carolina, and formerly of Douglas, following his death at the Douglas-Coffee County Hospital Jan. 2 at the age of 59.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Buchanan worked for some time in the tobacco business in Douglas and Coffee County.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Josephine Buchanan of Douglas; two brothers, Jim and Joe Buchanan of Wendell, North Carolina; four sisters, Mrs. Herman Apple, Mrs. Everette Ledford, Mrs. Uquahart Massey, and Mrs. H. O. Hinnant, all of Wendell, N. C..
The Rev. Mark Waldo, Vicar of St. Andrews church was the officiating minister and Mrs. Evelyn Brewer furnished the special music.
Pallbearers were H. J. Quincey, Cozy Morris, Tom Deen, Rexford Peterson, R. E. Currin, Carroll Relihan, Carl Todd and Thomas Head.
Interment was in the city cemetery with Sims Funeral Home of Douglas in charge.
