Last rites were held Sunday afternoon at Royals Church for Spencer "Dick" Burch, Douglas, who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nancy Johnson in Douglas Feb. 12 at the age of 93.
The deceased was a native of Coffee County, the son of the late John and Susie Crosby Burch and married the late Elizabeth Harrell.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist church.
Survivors include five sons, Elisha Burch Sr., and Joseph Burch of Broxton, Lovett Burch and Ephfrom Burch of West Green, and Johnny Burch of Douglas; one daughter, Nancy Johnson of Douglas.
The Rev Henry Sears was the officiating minister and the Franklin Church choir furnished the special music.
Pallbearers were grandsons included Leon Burch, Harvey Burch, J. B. Johnson, Emmitt Burch, Willie Burch, and George Burch.
Interment was in the Royals cemetery with Sims Funeral Home in charge.
