Mr. Willie Burch, Sr., 82, of West Green, Ga., passed
away Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Shady Acres
Convalescent Center, Douglas, Ga.
Mr. Burch, a native of Coffee County, Ga., was born
March 18, 1922, the son of the late Epherom and Ida
Music Burch. He was a retired farmer and was a member
of Calvary Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Odessa Carter Burch of
West Green, Ga.; two daughters, Betty Jean Coleman of
West Green, Ga., and Wilma Lee Adams of Douglas, Ga.;
six sons, Willie Burch, Jr., Troy Burch and Roy Burch
all of West Green, Ga., Billy Carroll Burch and Carlos
Burch both of Douglas, Ga., and Robert Burch of
Nicholls, Ga; one sister, Edna Ruth Scheeler of WA, 19
grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday,
September 22, 2004 at Pineview Church of God in West
Green, Ga., with Rev. Evelyn Cox, Rev. Jesse Hathaway
and Rev. Archie Kight officiating. Special music was
provided by Chris Purvis, Carolyn Wright and Faye
Adams who sang, "Shake The Master's Hand," "Jesus,
Hold My Hand" and "Everybody Will Be Happy Over There"
with Bonnie Musgrove, accompanying at the piano.
Internment followed at the Calvary Full Gospel
Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were: Don Adams, Terry Burch,
Michael Coleman, Keegan Burch, Dewayne Burch and
Jerome Burch.
Honorary pallbearers were: Aubrey McKinnon, Tony Jump,
Ray Jowers, Keith Burkett and Keith Hersey.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
