Mrs. Nobie H. Burkett, 69, of West Green, Ga., passed away Friday evening, June 20, 2003, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Burkett, a native of Coffee County, Ga., was the daughter of the late L.N. Hayes and the late Minnie Burkett Hayes. She was a member of the West Green Baptist Church and the widow of the late Bernie Burkett. Survivors include: one son, Nichael Lott and wife Christine, of West Green, Ga.; three grandchildren, Kieth Lott, Connie Rivera and Ricky Lamar Lott, all of West Green, Ga.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, 2003 at 4 p.m. at Burkett Church, with Rev. Jimmy Hollis officiating. Special musical ____________. Interment followed in the Burkett Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ricky Solomon, James Knight, Danny Ray Knight, Bruce Dean, Tony Simmons, and Ricky Hollis. Honorary pallbearers were Tony O'Steen, Wayne Burkett, Rev. Martin Courson, and James Moore. Ricketson Funeral Home of Douglas, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
