Mrs. Annie Carver Carver, age 88, of Hwy 32 West, Douglas, GA
passed away Friday, July 25, 1997 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas
following and extended illness.
Mrs. Carver, a native of Coffee County, Georgia was born February 24, 1809, the
Daughter of the late Dan and Halley Moore Carver. She was a homemaker and the
Widow of the late Charlie L. Carver. Her membership was at the St. Illa Baptist
Church.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Orville Carver and wife Lillian and Odis Carver
and wife Edwina of Douglas, GA; 4 daughters, Geneva Carver (W.D.) McDonald
Of Hampton, GA, Betty Carver (Roy) Simmons of Douglas, GA, Helen Carver (Jack)
Burman of Marianna , FL and Hazel Carver (Bobby) Fountain of Douglas , GA; 17
Grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carver
Was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter Vickie Lynn Carver Tanner.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 1997 at St. Illa Baptist
Church near Douglas with Rev. Elisha Purvis, Jr. and Rev. Benji Dyal officiating.
Special music was provided by Carolyn Wright, Chris Purvis and Faye Adams as
They sang "Precious Memories" and "Amazing Grace". Burial followed in the Church
Cemetery . Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
