Mary M. Carver, 83 of Hilliard, FL passed away September 19, 200l at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness following a massive stroke. Mrs. Carver was a native of Pearson, Atkinson County, GA, but had lived in Hilliard, FL for the last 43 years. She was the widow of the late Jessie E. Carver and the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Jane Carver Smith.
Mrs. Carver was survived by 3 sons, Johnny Carver, Hawthorne, FL, Bobby Carver, Hilliard, FL, Raymond Carver, Callahan, FL; and 5 daughters, Janie Nelson, Evelyn Guynn, Catherine Carver, Connie J. Carver all of Hilliard and Bonnie Cooper of Folkston, GA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by a sister, Annie Mae Morgan of Nahunta , GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. at St. Illa Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia with burial following in the church cemetery.
The Rev. James Moore officiating with special music provided my Derek Soles and taped songs.
Pallbeares were Robert Carver, Shawn Carver, Sherman Guynn, Shelton Guynn, John Walker and Floyd Walker.
