Mrs. John Clements of Alamo, died at her home late Tuesday afternoon and will be buried here Friday morning at ten o'clock, with funeral services at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John R. Slater. Mrs. Clements is well known and much loved here, having for many years visited here children here. She had been in ill health for many years and for the past three months had been confined to her bed altogether. She was eighty years old at the time of her death and was before her marriage Miss Isabel McRae. She had a wide eminent family connection. Her husband, Mr. John Clements, one of the most progressive citizens of Wheeler county, preceded her to the grave and she will be placed beside him in the family mausoleum in the local cemetery. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. J. R. Slater of Douglas, Mrs. Price Heard of Cordele, Mrs. George Tanner of Plant City, Mrs. Willis Dart of Sarasota, Mrs. Emmett Nelson of Alamo, Mr. John Clements of Alamo, Mr. Paul Clements of Savannah. She was the grandmother of Miss Elizabeth Terrell, Messrs. Sidney and Francis Stubbs of Douglas, besides many other grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
