Mrs. Matilda Vickers Corbett, age 90, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 14, 1975 at Coffee General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born June 3, 1885 in Coffee County, Mrs. Corbett was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Vickers. She was the widow of the late Henry T. Corbett and member of the Hebron Church. She was a resident of Route Two, Willacoochee.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 16th at 11 a.m. at the Hebron Church with Rev. Julian Rowan, Rev. Emory Corbitt, and Rev. Jeff Vickers jointly officiating. Interment followed in the Arna Church cemetery.
Mrs. Corbett is survived by one son, Harry Corbett, Savannah; one brother, Burel Vickers, Willacoochee; one sister, Mrs. Eva Corbett, Willacoochee; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Sims Funeral Home of Douglas and Pearson was in charge of arrangements.
