Mrs. Edwina Wood Cox, age 65 of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at the Jeff Davis County Hospital in Hazelhurst, Georgia. Mrs. Cox, a native of Irwin County, Georgia, was born November 4, 1938, daughter of the Inez Graves Wood Pettit and the late Jacob Leroy Wood. She was a retired Store Cashier/Manager and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Douglas Ward. Survivors include her husband, Sam Cox of Douglas, Georgia; Two sons, Richard Cox of Douglas, Georgia, and Roy Lee Cox of Moscow, ID; one daughter, Angie Wehner of Jackson, Mississippi; Her mother, Inez Pettit of Broxton, Georgia; One sister, Yvonne Wood of Broxton, Georgia; Grandchildren, Robbie Wehner of Jackson, MS, Ethan Cox and Garrett Cox, both of Moscow, ID. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 4 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Elder David Cox and Wayne Foskey officiating. Lois Mills, Pianist _______. Burial followed in the Arna Church Cemetery in Atkinson County, Georgia. Sims Funeral Home of Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
