Mrs. Joselyn Tanner Davis, 65, of Schley Street, Douglas, Ga., passed away Tuesday, 19 Feb. 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.. Mrs. Davis, a native of Coffee County, Ga., was born 17 July 1936, the daughter of the late Walter Atlee and Lucille Youngblood Tanner. She was a computer data entry technician, a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Davis of Douglas, Ga.; two sons, Bud Davis & wife Suzanne of Woodstock, Ga., and Terry Davis & wife Kim of Douglas, Ga.; one sister, Karen Lee of Douglas, Ga.; two grandchildren, Justin & Suzie Adams of Douglas, Ga.. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, 21 Feb. 2002, at the Sims Funeral Home Chapel in Douglas, Ga., with Rev. Barry Peavy officiating.... Interment followed at the Douglas City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Wayne Tanner, Tony Rowell, Kevin Brown, Gerald Baggs, Wayne Stauffer & John Overman. Honorary pallbearers were Bennie Overstreet, Danny Overstreet, Charlie Jernigan, Carroll Gieger, J. T. Patel, James Wells, Wilma Lee Mccook, Ann Carver, Joanne Hancock, Dot McKinnon, Audrey Wilkerson, & Sarah Rowell. Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
