D. K. DeBerry, 73, Died Last Saturday
Dell Kemper DeBerry died at his home in Ambrose last Saturday, Dec. 29, after a short illness. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. DeBerry was a native of South Carolina. He married to the former Margaret Harper who survives him. A prominent retired farmer, the deceased was an active member of DeBerry Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at DeBerry Chapel near Broxton with the Rev. B. E. Donehoo officiating.
The Coffee County Quartet furnished special music.
Active pallbearers were Bill Jowers, Mack Jowers, Eston Jowers, Hoke DeBerry, James Spicer and Arthur Baker.
Honorary pallbearers were Tillman Harper, Roland McNeesey, Robert DeBerry, Frank Paulk, Paul Harper, and Oswald Vickers.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
