MRS. TOM DENT DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
Succumbs in Waycross Last Thursday; Burial Here Friday at City Cemetery

The funeral services for Mrs. Tom Dent, who died after a short illness in a Waycross hospital Thursday was held at the home of Mrs. J. M. Dent last Friday afternoon at 3:00 P. M.
The deceased was 20 years of age and was the former Wilda Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Davis of Nicholls.
Her untimely death brings a severe shock to residents of Douglas and Nicholls, where she was well known and liked.
Mrs. Dent was married on January 1932 and was the mother of three boys, two of them being infant twins.
Rev. Jack Waithour of Waycross and Rev. Dupree of Nicholls, conducted the funeral services.
Interment took place at the city cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her husband and parents, three sons, Lowell, Jack and Mack and several brothers and sisters.
The pall bearers were Rema Sapp, M. H. Turrentine, Clyde Jardine, Elkin Minchew, Stanford Lott, Will Dickerson, Charles Heath, and Raymond Vickers.
Douglas Undertaking Company had charge of the funeral arrangements.
