Wynelle P. Drury, 73, Sadler Road, Fernandina Beach,
wife of Cecil H. Drury, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14,
2004, at her residence following a brief illness.
A native of Douglas, Ga., she was the daughter of the
late Homer and Ethel Baisden Paulk, and had resided in
Nassau County since 1958. Mrs. Drury was retired from
her position as the fabric manager for T.G. and Y.
Department Stores both in Fernandina Beach and
Jacksonville.
She was a charter member of Bailey Road Church of God,
and was very active in many areas for the church.
Survivors include: her husband, Cecil H. Drury; her
children, Mike King and Sandy Soloman, all of
Fernandina Beach; a brother, Curtis Paulk, Richmond,
Va.; four sisters, Odessa Spires, Cordele, Ga., Nellie
Lindsey and Geraldine Music, Douglas, Ga., and Carolyn
Mancil, Nichols, Ga.; a step-daughter, Darlene Drury,
Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Bailey Road Church of God with the Rev. Marvin Johnson
officiating. Interment followed in Bosque-Bello
Cemetery. The family received friends Monday evening
at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home.
