Mr. Monroe D. Courson, age 71(?), died suddenly at his home near West Green Saturday night. He had been ill for some time.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at Mt. Zion church in Ware County, conducted by Rev. Hipps of Baxley. Interment in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
He is survived by his wife and eleven sons, Dan, Rudolph, Leroy, Elli(?), Woodroe and Johnnie Courson, of West Green, H. N., Joe and Willie Courson of Nicholls, Loyd and Hardy(?) Courson of Douglas; three daughters, Mrs. Malcolm Kirkland and Miss Pearlie Mae Courson of West Green, and Mrs. A. Z. Kirkland of Douglas.
Pallbearers were A. M. Courson, Marvin Courson, Horace Courson, Albert Vickers, Cleon Courson, and Early Courson, and the Douglas Undertaking Company were in charge of arrangements.
