James Preston Ward died in 1852 and is buried in the Ward Cemetery on Lot of Land Lot No. 364, 6th District, Coffee County.
Berry Hampton Tanner was originally buried there because heavy rains had made the creek impassible. 100 years later, descendents moved his stone to be next to Eliza where the family had originally planned to bury him.
