Charlie Pearson
This is Charlie Pearson of Gotland, Sweden. He lived in Coffee Co at some point with James Emanuel (his son) and Matilda Mae. He arrived in the US c. 1870 at the age of 16 and married Sarah "Sallie" Oliver in Reidsville sometime around 1880-1885. They had 4-6 children before Sallie died (before 1900). He then married Nancy Thompson. They had 6-7 children before Nancy died (after 1910 but before 1920). Charlie spoke 7 languages and is buried in the Old Thompson Cemetery on the Appling County line.
Sallie and Nancy are two of my brick walls. I'd be so thrilled if I could find a relative of either line that knows something about either lady!
