Next O'NEAL PARKER   SHORB
I am looking for a John William Shorb who was married to Sarah Ann Parker.
They were listed on the 1860 census of Dade County, Ga (Lookout Station
Post Office). John was listed as being born ca 1830 in TN and had the
occupation of a Stone Cutter. His wife, Sarah, was born ca 1832 in VA.
The census lists a daughter, Dorcas J., age 2, born in AL. I lose
track of them for twenty years until they appear on the 1880 census in Lee
Twp, Boone County, AR. Dorcas J. was not listed with them at that time,
but several younger children were. Most of these younger children ended up
living their lives in OK and TX. Would like to hear from anyone
with information on this family. Thanks.

  Apr 5, 2003 CUNNINGHAM   McMAHAN
My sister and I are looking for info regarding my grandfather, James C. Cunningham, who was adopted from the Vine Street Orphanage in Chattanooga by John McMahan of Trenton, GA. I know there are a lot of Mcmahans in that area, and we have been able to find quite a bit about John himself, but nothing about my grandfather. We know our grandmother (James' wife) was related to the McMahans by blood. But that is as far as we can get. We went to the hall of records in Trenton, but no luck. We would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
