  • My ggrandmother Elizabeth Prince Garmon is listed on the 1860 Dawson County, Ga. census, as wife of Alfred Garmon or Garman. They were members of the Goshen Baptist Church in the late 1840's and early 1850's. Elizabeth died in 1872 plus or minus 1 year. Alfred shows up on the 1880 Cobb County, Ga. ( Kennesaw area ) census, as head of household with two children. I think they lived in Daeson County when she passed away. I am searching for death date and burial location of Elizabeth Prince Garmon and or Alfred Garmon. I have been searching for about 2 years and haven't found anything.

TUMLIN LINK        Paul Tumlin

  • Looking for info on William Jack Turner. In 1900 Census from Lumpkin County, Hightower district, born March 1867. Father and Mother born in North Carolina. His 2nd wife is listed as Caroline (Marlow)-born Aug 1874-(married in Lumpkin Dec 24, 1895), his children by 1st wife is shown as Early-son-July 1889, William- son-Nov 1891, and Onie-daughter-April 1894. I have learned thru my family that William Jack Turner's first wife was buried near Amicalola, Dawson County. I assume that he and his 1st wife lived in Dawson. From the Dawson County Courthouse, I have learned that there are 2 men listed that could be him. William Jack Turner married Louvisa Harben-April 12, 1888. Also William Jack Turner married Liela Lingerfelt-Dec 22, 1887. One of these 2 is probably him since his 1st child was born in 1889. I am trying to determine which one is him. In 1910 Census William J. Turner with his wife Caroline, son Earley, and daughter Onie is listed in Jackson County, House District. In 1920 Census W. J. Turner with his wife Callie (Caroline), and 2 daughters by Caroline, Cantillery-8 years old, and Caldona-6 years old is listed in Barrow County, Chandlers District. I am looking for any info on all of the above. Onie is my grandmother. She married Marlin Gaddis. Any info on William Jack Turner's father or siblings would be greatly appreciated.
