Georgia, Gwinnett County.
I, Samuel H. Freeman of said State and County, being of sound, disposing mind and memory (Blessed by God for it) desiring to make such disposition of my estate as seems reasonable, natural and just, do make and publish this, my last will and testament.

Item 1. I direct that all my just debts, if any exist, be paid as soon as practicable.

Item 2. I hereby appropriate two hundred and fifty dollars to be expended in the erection of a suitable monument over my grave and direct that it be so applied.

Item 3. I give and bequeath to J. B. Freeman, son of A. J. Freeman, my gold watch.

Item 4. I give and bequeath to Samuel Freeman, son of Alexander Freeman, my fine shot gun.

Item 5. I give and bequeath to Francis Freeman, widow of A. J. Freeman, one Wheeler and Wilson Sewing Machine, now in her possession.

Item 6. I give and bequeath to my nephew, Dr. H. M. Freeman of Carnesville, GA, my case of Amputating Instruments.

Item 7. I give and bequeath to my widowed sister, Mrs. Martha G. Hogan, a feather bed up stairs, (second choice) together with the stead and covering.

Item 8. I give and bequeath to my adopted daughter Sarah Caledenia Freeman (now Sarah Caledenia Wilson) five hundred dollars principal of solvent notes, also my Ledger "S" and note books, also all my books of every character (except medical books) including my unsettled and open accounts, and also the sum of One Thousand Dollars in cash.

Item 9. I give and bequeath to my said daughter Sarah Caledenia Wilson, one-half of all my household and Kitchen furniture in my possission prior and up to, the time of my second marriage, together with my iron safe in my office.

Item 10. I also give, bequeath and devise to my said daughter, Sarah Calendenia Wilson, the tract of land (except that portion conveyed to the G.C. & N.R.R. for right-of-way purposed) Known as the "J. F. Harris Place", being lot No. 242, in the 5th district of said County containing two hundred and fifty (250) acres, more or less.

Item 11. I give, bequeath and devise to my said daughter, Sarah Caledenia Wilson, the place whereon Francis Freeman now resides, being part of Lot, No 274 in the 5th district of said County (except that part given to Heborn Church and Chinquepin Grove Academy) containing one hundred and fifty five (155) acres, more or less, together with all the homeplace, South of the Monroe road, and adjoining the place whereon Francis Freeman now resides, together with all buildings thereon, including "Beula Hall", being parts of Lots Nos. 202 and 203 in the 5th land district of said County.

Item 12. In pursuance and performance of the ante-nuptial contract, entered into between my beloved wife, Mattie A. and myself (she being the owner of a separate estate), I give, bequeath and devise to my said wife, one hundred and sixty-five acres of land, the same being the South West part of Lot of land number three hundred and six (306) in the 5th district of said County, bought by me of John H. Freeman and H. H. Freeman, with all the rights, members and appurtenances there to belonging, together with three (3) acres of land, being part of the lot No. three hundred and two (302) upon which is situated my dwelling, said three acres to be formed by running down the Athens road and down the Monroe road, till the said 3 acres is formed. Also the sum of five hundred dollars in cash and one-half of all my household and Kitchen furniture in my possession prior and up to, the time of my second marriage; said land, money and furniture, bring given her expressly in lien of Dower, twelve months support and of all other interest in my estate.

Item 13. I give bequeath and devise to my half brothers George Freeman, John W. Freeman, Glenn Freeman, and my half sister Sallie Davis (formerly Sarah Freeman,) one hundred and twenty-five (125) acres of land, Known as the "Arkansas Place" with all its improvements; and one hundred acres of land off the South side of the Mill tract (Except that part given to the G.C. & N.R.R. for right-of-way purposes) Known as the "Jack Hill Place" (this bequest not to include the Mill and not to have the control over the water), to be equally divided between said parties.

Item 14. I will and direct that all the rest and residue of my estate, both real and personal, not herein before disposed of, by sold, and the proceeds, after deducting the expenses attending the execution of my will, be equally divided between my brother and sisters of the whole blood, and the descendants, by families, of such as may be dead, share and share alike; children or descendants of children, standing in place of and receiving the share of their deceased parents, who may be dead at the time of my decease; Said legacy to be distributed among the legaties, as they were my next of Kin and only heirs-at-law and I had died intestate.

Item 15. I nominate and appoint my nephew Jesse B. Freeman and my son-in-law James M. Wilson, Executors of this, my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof, I, Samuel H. Freeman, herein to set my hand and seal, This the 2nd day of May, A.D. 1891.

The foregoing four and one third pages, with fifteen items, signed, sealed, published and declared by the Testator, Samuel H. Freeman, to be his last will and testament, in our presence, and we subscribe the same as witnesses thereto in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other.
