NEGRO MET QUICK DEATH.
-----------------------------------------
Georgia Mob Took Him in Charge and "Lost Him"
ATLANTA, GA April 26- A Constitution Special from Elberton, GA., says: While fishing in the Savannah River near her home Wednesday. Miss Rhoda ALEXANDER was assaulted by a negro workman, William GOLSBY. Miss ALEXANDER reported the matter to her mother. About that time the negro appeared and offered to work six months if she would not tell on him. Before he could leave the premises some friends appeared, took charge of the negro and left for the river. Later they reported that they had set him free.
It develops that GOLSBY was lynched by the citizens and that his body was thrown into the Savannah River.
