Hello, and welcome to the Evans County Georgia Web site. Looks like no one is wanting to adopt poor Evans County, so I am back again and hope to get some things on line for you to use. Evans County Georgia was created in 1914 from Tattnall and Bulloch Counties. It derived its name from Confederate General Clement A. Evans. Its county seat is located at Claxton, which is the Fruitcake Capital.
