Mr. Arthur Drane Highnote, age 82, of Cave Spring, passed away Monday, Sept 20, 1999 at his residence. Mr. Highnote was born April 5, 1917 in Buena Vista, GA. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Depart of Offender Rehabilitation, a member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post No. 5, a member and past Worshipful Master for the Mackey Lodge, a member of the Rome Shrine Club, a member of the Yaarab Temple of Atlanta, a member of the Rome Arch Masons, one of the founding members and past president of the Cave Spring Ruritan Club, a member and past president of the Cave Spring Wildlife Club, and a member of the Cave Spring City Council. He is survived by his wife, Emmalee Jones Highnote; two daughters, Peggy Highnote Allgood and Lauralee Highnote Hunt; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., at the Cave Spring United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tracy Rollins, the Rev. John Dukes and the Rev. James Wright officiating. Daniel’s Funeral Home of Rome had charge of the arrangements.
