\f1 Alvin Vann Hyde, 87, of 59 Floyd Springs Road, Armuchee, died Friday evening at a Rome hospital after a short illness.\par
Mr. Hyde was born Oct. 6, 1903 in Floyd County, son of the late William Alex Hyde and Alice L. Hyde. He was a lifelong resident of Floyd County and was a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church,\par
the Men's Bible Class and the Joy Club. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Before retirement he was employed as a radio repairman.\par
Survivors include: a son, Hollis E. Hyde, Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, William Hyde, Attalla, Ala.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.\par
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at New Armuchee Baptist Church with Willard MacAllaster officiating. \par
Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.\f0
