Claude Proctor Succumbs Today
Claude Ernest Proctor, 58, died at his residence near Dyke's Creek this morning. He had been in declining health for six months and his condition had been
serious for the past two months.
Born in Floyd County, he had spent his entire life here. He was a well-known farmer and had been a member of the Baptist church for 35 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Mizpah Methodist Church. The Rev. Ed Smith and the Rev. B.W. Hancock will officiate
with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Proctor are a daughter, Mrs. W. F. Davis, of Shannon; two sons, John and Paul Proctor; two brothers, H.G. and T. L. Proctor; two sisters,
Mrs. J. C. Allen, all of Rome, Mrs. T. J. Griffies, of Lindale; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the residence at 2 o'clock, will include S. L. Henderson, Carl Allen, Luther Jones, Willard Proctor, Ralph
Griffin and A. C. Payne.
