Services for Dave Robert Hanks, 76, of Lindale, Ga., will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home with Rev. Charles
Drummond officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service
time at the funeral home. Mr. Hanks died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Haney Hanks of Lindale; three daughters, Nancy Hanks Hicks of Anniston, Alice Haney
Morrow of Rome, Ga., and Glenda Haney Puckett of Silver Creek, Ga.; a brother, Bill Hanks of Cedar Bluff; eight
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Helms, Johnny Helms, Jimmy Jordan, Harold Loveless, Rex Puckett, Jerry Rucker, and Harold
Proctor.
Mr. Hanks was a native of Cherokee County and was employed by Otasco Stores as a salesman and manager in Rome, Ga.,
Greenville, S.C., and Cartersville, Ga. He was a member of the American Legion, Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 and was preceded in
death by his first wife, Eunice Jordan Hanks.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the hospice in Rome, Ga.
