Services for George Scoggins, 92, of Rome will be today at 2 p.m. at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home Chapel in Summerville, Ga.,
with Minister Jim Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Scoggins died Tuesday at
Crewswell Health & Rehab Center.Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Fowler of Rome; a son, Tommy Lee Scoggins of Silver
Creek, Ga.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be members of the
Pennville Church of Christ.Mr. Scoggins was a member of Pennville Church of Christ and Quarter Century Club. He was preceded
in death by his wife, Arvie Tanner Scoggins; a sister, Laura Bell Boswell; and two brothers, William Charles Scoggins and
Sidney Clarence Scoggins.
