\par \f1 Mrs. Hannah Townsend, 79, of 515 Ave. A, who died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday in a Rome hospital following an illness of several months. \par Mrs. Townsend was born in Bartow County June 26, 1887, daughter of the late Jack and Amanda Knight Hyde, but had spend the greater part of her life in Rome and Floyd Count y. She was a member of the Church of Christ. \par Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hillyer Johnson, Mrs. W. A. Johnson and Mrs. Ella Horton, all of Rome; three half brothers, Dallas Fields, Columbiana, Ohio, Jack and Bill Hyde, both of Cartersville, five half sisters, Mrs. Rosa Westbrook, Calhoun; Mrs. Sallie Cope, Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. L. V. Carr, Mrs. Lula King and Mrs. Clarence Fincher, all of Atlanta; seven granchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. \par Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Talmadge Barnes officiating. \par Interment was in East View Cemetery. \par Pallbearers included James Bradshaw, Mike Horton, Glenn, Harold and Billy Johnson and Dennis Bramblett.\f0
