Many Friends Are Shocked  By Death of John Barnes<BR>
<BR>
   John Barnes, age 56, died at his home on the Kingston road, Tuesday at 12 o'clock, 
after a long illness.<BR>
   The death of Mr. Barnes, who is well known in this community, comes as a great 
shock to his many friends.<BR>
   He is survived by three brothers, Henry, Will, and Nathan Barnes, and one sister, 
Mrs. Lester Raper.<BR>
   Funeral services were held from the Mizpah church, Wednesday morning at 11 
o'clock. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.<BR>
