\par \cf1 James F. Hyde Passes at Home\cf0

\par \cf1 James F. Hyde, 78, well-known farmer, died at his residence on the Kingston Road at 2:45 p.m. Monday, following a two-year illness. \par Mr. Hyde was born in Canton, Oct. 29, 1866, son of the late Tanty and Amanda Summers Hyde, and had resided in Floyd County for 50 years. He was a charter member and deacon of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. \par Surviving are the widow, the former Mary Dillard; two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Pinson, Rome, Route 2, and Mrs. Eva Kate Agan, Silver Creek, Route 1; five sons, Vance, Quinn and Marvin; all of Kingston Route 1, Fred and Harris of Rome; one brother, Tom of Cartersville, one sister, Mrs. Mary Young of Rome. Sixteen grandchildren and 10 great grand- children also survive. \par Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Uel Roebuck, and the Rev. J. E.Hollifield officiating. \par Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. \par The body will lie in state at the residence until time for the services. \par The active pall bearers are requested to meet there. They are: Robert Young, Ed Hyde, Turner Highfield, Homer Pope, Will Hyde and Elzo Shelley. The honorary pallbearers are requested to meet there at 3:30 p.m. They are: Joe Kennedy, Frank Jolly, Wilson Hardy, S. R. Shelley, John Ransom, John Henry Carver, Marvin Prather, Herschell Chandler, and deacons of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.\cf0
