Jimmy Phil Roach, Funeral services for Jimmy Phil Roach will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Smith, the Rev. Bob Bagley and the Rev. J. Holland Thomas will officiate. Interment will be at Floyd Memory Gardens. Mr. Roach, 42, of 358 Pleasant Hope Road, Silver Creek, died Saturday morning in a Rome hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile wreck. Mr. Roach was born in Floyd County on April 9, 1946, son of Dewey Marvin Roach and the late Willie Everett Roach. He was employed with Battey Machinery Co. for the past 10 years. He was a deacon and member of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church and was formerly a member of the Marine Corps Reserve. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Annie Dill, to whom he was married on Dec. 2, 1964; a daughter, Miss Ursula Tina Roach, Silver Creek; father, Rome; three brothers, Wayne Taylor and William Taylor, both of Aragon, and Chandler Taylor, Lindale; a sister Mrs. Bonita Waddell, Aragon; nieces and nephews.
