\cf1\f1 \cf0 Mrs. Maudie Lee Kay, 77 of Redmond Circle died Saturday in a Rome nursing home following an illness of several months. \par
Mrs. Kay was born in Birmingham, Ala., Jan. 22, 1896, the daughter of the late W. A. and Elizabeth Jones Wood. Prior to moving to Rome, she had resided in Ft. Worth, Texas for several \par
years. \par
She was a member of the Roland Hills Baptist Church of Ft. Worth. \par
She was married to the late John M. Kay on Oct. 12, 1949. He died Feb. 10, 1966. \par
Survivors include two brothers, Paul Wood of Sumiton, Ala., and J.C. Wood of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Brooks, Mrs. Bonnie Jackson and Mrs. Claude Goode, all of\par
Birmingham, Ala.; two half brothers Donald and Bryant Wood of Birmingham. \par
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with the Revs. Anthony Kay and Howard Holcomb officiating. \par
Interment was in East View Cemetery. \par
Pallbearers were David Kay, Jack Petty, Buddy Crider, Clarence Davis, Clyde Richey and George Jackson. \par
