Mrs. Minnie Lee Spurlin, 91, 208 Woodbine Ave., died at 8:25 a.m. Monday following an extended illness. A native of Meriwether County, born Aug. 12, 1888, daughter of the late John and Frances H. Terrell, she had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of Saint John Church. She was the widow of Charlie W. Spurlin who died Feb. 22, 1920. Survivors include three sons, Frank and Charlie Spurlin, Rome, and James Spurlin, Holmes Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Gerelle Myers, Rome; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with the Rev. J. A. Nolan officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery. Pallbearers include Don Spurlin, Jerry Spurlin, Otha Youngblood, John Reed, George Booker and Raymond Davis.
