Mrs. W. W. Lovell Claimed By Death Burial Saturday
Mrs. W. W. Lovell, age 88, for 50 years a beloved resident of Floyd county died at 5:10 Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Asworth
at Calhoun Ga. Mrs. Lovell had been in feeble health for some time, but her death came very suddenly, and was a great shock to her many friends.
She has been a devoted member of the Baptist church for 75 years. February 1, 1865,. She was married to W.W. Lovell who preceded her in death three months
ago. She is survived by five children: Mrs. O. A. Morgan of Oklahoma; Mrs. E. A. Smith of LaFayette, GA; Mrs. J. W. Ashworth of Calhoun and Mrs. B. F. Camp
and J. C. Lovell of Rome; besides a host of grand and great grandchildren.
The funeral services were held from the Baptist church at Pleasant Valley North, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
The Rev. W. M. McKenzie and A. B. Carnes conducting the services and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
Six grandsons of the deceased were pallbearers and were as follows: Harold Lovell, James Thrash, Robert Lovell, Curby Smith, Hoyt Lovell and Lovell Camp.
The honorary pall-bearers were: Dean Johnson, Clarence Floyd, Marvin Fincher, Doc Jones, J. M. Walker, M. G. Harris, Roland King, Carl Terrell, Hollis
Mitchell, William Wimpee, William Thomas, D. B. Broom, Louie Burns, Sol Smith and Dink Horton.
