\par \f1 Mrs. Mildred Sarah Nichols, age 88, 64 Jackson Road, Taylorsville, formerly of the Spring Creek Community, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at her residence.\par Mrs. Nichols was born in Cayce, S.C. on September 14, 1917, daughter of the late Luther "Babe" Busbee and the late Mary Williams Busby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Elmore Nichols, on November 12, 1994; by a grandson, Dwayne Nichols and by four brothers, C.W. Busbee, Ray Busbee, Oliver Busbee, and Horace Busbee. She was employed for a number of years in various positions during her career. Mrs. Nichols was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church where she was formerly active in the W.M.U. and was a member of the church choir. \par Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nikki Nichols West and her husband Jimmy, Lexington, S.C. and Ms. Pamela Nichols Robinson, Taylorsville; three sons, Ronnie Nichols and his wife, Charlotte, Silver Creek, Gary Lee Nichols, and his wife, Dianne, Rome, and Kenneth Nichols, Talladega, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Scotty Nichols, and his companion, Lisa, Cave Spring, Blake Emmery, and her husband Brandon, Charleston, S.C., Justin Nichols and his wife, Mary, Ft. Collins, Colo., Molly Tant and her husband, Mark, Lindale, Lindsay Nichols, Athens, Brooke West, Lexington, S.C., and Dylan Nichols, Silver Creek; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Nichols, Cave Spring and Mason Tant, Lindale; nieces and nephews also survive. \par Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Spring Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Burnham and the Rev. Paul Willis officiating. \par Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery. \par The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home this evening from 6 until 8 p.m. At other hours, they may be contacted at each of their respective homes. Mrs. Nichols will be taken to the Spring Creek Baptist Church Friday at 1 p.m. to lie in state until the funeral hour. \par Pallbearers are requested to assemble at the church Friday at 1:30 p.m. and include: Johnny Morris, Jimmy Littlejohn, Jackie Littlejohn, Wade Johnson, Max Johnson, and Donnie Busby.\par Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.\f0
