Mrs. Mary Bailey

Mrs. Mary Willis Bailey, 80 of 311 Woodbine Ave., died Friday evening in a Rome convalescent home following an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Floyd County, she was born August 6, 1888, daughter of the late William Newton and Martha Jane Adam Willis. She was married to George Leonard Bailey in March 1924. He died July 14, 1963. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Herschel and Herbert Bailey, both of Rome; two daughters, Miss Dorothy Bailey of Rome and Mrs. Warren Pitts of Moultrie; one brother, Jess C. Willis of Rome; one sister, Mrs. Ola Bridges of Rome; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Tucker officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benton Proctor, James Elrod, Woodrow Parker, Bob Dunaway, Don Bennett and Duran Willis.
