  After a long illness R. G. Stevens, age 61, was relieved by death (May 19, 1911) at his home on West Seventh Street late 
Friday night. Mr. Stevens had been a sufferer so long that his demise was not unexpected, although it has brought sorrow to 
his family and numerous friends.<BR>
<BR>
  Mr. Stevens was too young to take part in the civil war, when he was active he engaged in farming. He leaves a wife, seven 
boys and four daughters. He was a member of the Baptist church.<BR>
<BR>
  The funeral will take place Sunday. More definite arrangements will be announced in Sunday's issue of the Tribune-Herald. 
He will be buried at Old Armuchee Cemetery.<BR>
