Mrs. Ruby Wiggins
Mrs. Ruby Pearl Wiggins, 56, of Old Dalton Road, Rome, Rte. 7, died Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. in a Rome hospital following an illness of six months, her
condition becoming critical several days ago.
She was born in Floyd County, daughter of Mrs. Addie Floyd Wimpee and the late William Wimpee and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of
Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Wiggins, to whom she was married March 28, 1937; two sons, Gene Wiggins, Rome and Spencer Wiggins of Greenville,
S.C.; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Faye Griffin, Rome; mother, Mrs. William Wimpee, Rome; two brother, Ernest Wiggins, Charleston, S.C. and Clyde Wimpee of
Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Donald Wills and Mrs. R. P. Youngblood, both of Rome; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. Kenneth Culp, Mike Cordle and B. J. Lamb
officiating. Interment will be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The body will remain at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 p.m. today. At other hours the family will be at the
residence on the Old Dalton Road.
Pallbearers include Lee Terrell, John Storey, Ira Speir, Doyal Green, Tommy Howell, Wayne Harris, William Ely and Wendell Woodfin.
