\cf1\f1 Mrs. Sallie S. Bell, 80 of 1005 Flannery St. died early Friday at a Rome hospital after a long illness. \par
She was born in St. Claire County, Ala., on May 24, 1907, daughter of the late Benjamin P. Stewart and Lucy E. Elizabeth Kilgroe Stewart, and was a long time resident of Rome, moving here from Gadsden, Ala. She was a member of the East Rome Church of God, where she was a former teacher and treasurer of the Elder Ladies Sunday School Class; and a former president of the Ladies Auxilary. She was retired from the weaving department of West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Company. \par
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Bell on July 26, 1953. Survivors inlcude two sons, William H. Bell, Cedartown and Ray C. Bell, Woodstock; two sisters, Mrs. Abelia Waddell; Pell City, Ala., and Mrs. Gladys Bryan, Cedar Bluff, Ala; one brother, the Rev. Leuoman Stewart, Rome, eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. \par
Funeral services will be a at 3 p.m. today at East Rome Church of God with the Rev. Paul Stover and the Rev. Bud Holland officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.<\cf0\f0 BR>\par
