Warren D. Penson

Warren D. Penson, 82, of 7 Springdale Drive, died early Sunday at his home following a lengthy illness. \par
Mr. Penson was born in Bartow County, n. Jan. 7, 1891, the son of Warren and Victoria Penson. He had spent most of his life here and was a retired employee of O'Neill Manufacturing Co. He was married to the former Miss Mattie Hyde, who survives. \par
Surviving, besides his wife, are four daughters, Mrs. E. D. Gresham, Mrs. J. W. Whittle, Mrs. D. L. Dutton and Miss Sara Penson, all of Rome, four sons, Boyd Penson, Kingston, the Rev. Dewey Penson, Rome, J. W. Penson, Marietta and Franklin Penson, Cartersville; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Carter and Mrs. Ethyle Hyde, both of Rome; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. \par
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. George Chastain, Paul Willis and Fred Rowell officiating. \par
Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. \par
The body will remain at the Steven- Davenport Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p. m. today. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the services. \par
Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Stevens-Davenport Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
