Micajah Hughes was born January 1788 and departed this life September 2, 1848.

Mary Hughes wife of Micajah Hughes was born 1797 and departed this life May the 13th 1837

Micajah' funeral was "attended" by R. L. Edwards Text 2 Samuel the 14th c and 14 v

Mary's funeral was "attended" by Rev. William Mullinax. Text not recollected.

The family tradition says that Micajah Hughes was buried in the old part of Lumpkin Campground (Dawson Co.)
