  May 1929 - Birthday Dinner

  On Sunday May 12, 1929, the friends and relatives of Uncle George W. Owen
met at his home and gave him a birthday dinner, it being his 85th birthday. Those
present were:

  From Gainesville; C.A. Stovall and family; J.B. Moore and family; Freeman
Russell and family; Mrs. Asilee Wilson, Spark Jones and family, Monroe Jones,
Mrs. _______ Townsend and son, C.E. Couch and family, Mrs. Ona Orr, W.O.
Owen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ovie Crowe.

  From South Carolina: Charlie Lackey? and family, W.W. Hallman, Mrs.
Lillie Nix

  From New Holland: Mrs. Annie Maddox, her three sons and three daughters
and their families.

  From Oakwood: Jack Childers, Mrs. Alice Cantrell and daughter.

  From Flowery Branch: S.M. Cain and wife, George Crow and family.

  From Atlanta: Col. Clarence Cain

  From Buford: Mr. Alton Lyles and family, Mr and Mrs. George Owen, Clyde
Owen and wife, Cleo Owen and family.

  From the community: F.M. Porter and family, Robeert Patterson and wife,
Mr. Dell Daniel, James Loggins and family, Fate Loggins, John Westbrook and
family,Sam Westbrook and family, Royston Smith and family, Hubert Westbrook and
family Ulus Whitmire and family, J.M Stanford and family, Lee Price, Mrs.
Martha Martin, Charlie Martin and family, M. J. Wood and family, H.G. Howard and

  In the afternoon the crowd begin to leave wishing Mr. Owen more happy
birthdays.
